With Washington signing Josh Docts son Josh to a five-year contract extension, the Redskins have added a potential future star to the team.
Doctson, who has been overshadowed by the emergence of DeSean Jackson, has had his moments on the field.
But he also has been a disappointment on the recruiting trail.
He is listed at 6-foot-4 and 217 pounds and is considered a quarterback-like player who has the height and athleticism to make the jump to the NFL.
Docts father, Dede, is an Alabama defensive back who was selected in the first round of the 2009 draft by the Redskins.
Doct’s recruitment is expected to take place in January, and he’ll play for Washington’s Gatorade College Camp.
The Redskins also are reportedly trying to sign an outside linebacker in the coming days.
